Azrael, also known as Az [Ace], is essentially the angel of death, a silent guide who helps souls cross over into the afterlife. He is said to own a secret, mythical lounge known only as Crypt, a hidden club whose location remains a mystery. Crypt serves as a sanctuary, offering respite to wandering souls and shielding them from Dearbhail and her Algols, allowing them to pass on peacefully.

Though he cannot directly intervene, Azrael subtly nudges Naomi toward her destiny. He gives her a map of the town and warns her about Dearbhail, though he doesn’t know what her human form looks like. When the Algols seize Naomi’s bag, containing the keys to activate the portal, Azrael is the one who retrieves them.

Stoic and emotionally detached, Azrael’s sole purpose is to guide souls when they are ready to depart. He doesn’t express much, but his presence is steady, unwavering, and deeply rooted in duty.
